Hans Hindelang was born on 16th Apr 1912 in Trossingen, Wurttemburg and died on 1st Jun 2004 in the same town. He was an Oberfeldwebel (Sergeant Major) with 14 (Panzer-Jager) Infantrie-Regiment 'Groβdeutschland' when he was awarded the medal on 4th Sep 1940 for bravery during the Battle of Stonne. His three 3.7cm Pak teams were attached by 3 French Char B1 heavy Battle tanks which knocked out two of the Pak's, the Germans however destroyed the 3 tanks despite the Pak being inferior against the Char B1.
