Luftwaffe parachute packing bag in olive coarse-woven sackcloth with cotton edge binding. It has two carrying handles and a long web strap. Bags of this type were used to carry and store packed parachutes, including the RZ1, RZ20 and RZ36 paratrooper chutes and pilot chutes. The flap closes with nickel-plated press studs, one marked ZIEH HIER (pull here) and the sockets marked DRP. The number 50195 is stamped three times, including a large stamp on the side panel. A red painted-over area on the flap appears to cover an earlier marking. The fabric is sound with even age toning and light staining. Very good used condition.
