Unissued bread bag in coarse linen with its matching web carrying strap. The domed flap carries two leather tabs with steel D-rings for the strap and two leather loops for securing a canteen and mess kit, and closes with a single leather strap and buckle. Under the flap is the front pocket with its snap closure, and the inside of the flap has the leather tabs and slots for the belt hooks. This example has a tan web strap and mixed brown and tan leather fittings. Never issued, so the leather is unworn and the stitching tight. The linen shows only light storage toning and a few small marks from handling.
