The Day of Potsdam, otherwise known as Potsdam Celebration was a ceremony held on March 21, 1933, for the opening of the new Reichstag after the German federal election, March 1933, following the Reichstag fire, an arson attack on the German parliament in Berlin, which took place on Monday 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler, leader of the NSDAP was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany.
