Product Overview
Flag pole top of the NS-Reichskriegerbund in gold-lacquered plastic, about 25 cm (9 7/8 in.) tall. A sword blade rises through an oak leaf wreath. The front disc shows a swastika encircled by the motto SYMBOL WIRD WAFFE (Symbol Becomes Weapon). The reverse shows a 1939 Iron Cross flanked by a 1940 ribbon. The motto refers to the 1940 program that collected brass and other metal pole tops for the armaments industry and replaced them with plastic pieces like this one. The gold lacquer is worn in places, showing the dark base material. There are three drilled holes in the socket. Part of the socket's lower edge has broken away. Used condition.
