The German Gleichrichter A's were power transformers. They were used to convert local AC voltages, which varied by country, to 12 Volt DC to be used with radio equipment.
This has been lightly restored on the exterior. We are including an adaptor (that can be removed) to be used in converting this to 115v for use with modern power sources in the United States.
We intended to replace the internals with modern electornics to get it to work as it did during the war but moved on to other projects without starting.
