Product Overview
Wehrmacht issue transport case for a field typewriter, in gray-painted metal with reinforced corner caps. The case is built with angled edges, and the lid closes with two spring-loaded latches either side of a folding steel carrying handle. Inside, the base and lid carry the steel brackets and fittings that held the typewriter in place during transport. It measures about 39 x 50 x 17 cm (15 3/8 x 19 3/4 x 6 3/4 in.). The paint shows scuffs, handling wear and small chips at the corners. There is light surface rust along the inside hinge line of the lid. No typewriter included. Good used condition.
