German aluminum canteen with matching AWG 39 stamps on the neck and the screw cap. It is held in a brown leather harness that runs around the body and up to a keeper at the neck, ending in a steel spring hook. This is the strapping style used on party and civil organization canteens rather than the standard Wehrmacht black leather strap. The flask comes in a felt cover that has heavy moth damage to its surface, though the felt has no holes through it. The leather is sound, and the cap and closure are complete. No cup. Used condition.
