A beautiful Third Reich non-portable award for The Care of Horses in Gold. Golden relief oakleaves with 2 horses, mounted to a golden plaque with relief wording, 'Deutsche Reiterliche Vereinigung (FN) Für Hervorragende Leistungen in Pferdehaltung und-Plege' (For excellence in equine husbandry and care).
Entire plaquette pinned to its original wooden mount, with metal ring to the top for hanging from a wall. At one point it had a piece of wood attached to the hinge to sit on a surface which is now missing.
