German M31 canteen with aluminum flask stamped WWL 40 on the neck, fitted with a black plastic screw cap and its leather keeper strap. It comes with an olive green painted aluminum cup that carries no maker mark. There are old purple ink markings around the neck stamp and on the face of the felt cover. The brown wool felt cover is complete with a few small wear spots. The black leather strapping is intact with cracking to the finish, and the steel buckle and hook are present. The cup paint shows chipping at the edges and bracket. Good used condition.
